June 20, 2008 -       USDA-NRCS PROVIDES $5 MILLION IN CONSERVATION INNOVATION

                              GRANTS TO PROTECT WATER QUALITY IN THE CHESAPEAKE BAY       

                              WATERSHED

                              

                              American Farmland Trust (AFT) was awarded $650,000 to pursue

                              innovative solutions to enhance water quality in the Chesapeake Bay.

                              Project states will include the following states: Maryland, Pennsylvania, 

                              and Virginia.
